Henry the Green Engine is the No. 3 engine on the Island of Sodor. He is a long and fast engine with the look of a thoroughbred. Like most thoroughbreds, Henry can be a little high-strung a bit of a worrywart. Although he has always been a hard worker, Henry used to be prone to illness, which many engines put off as laziness. Sir Topham Hatt had special coal brought in from Wales for Henry so he could run properly. However, after an accident while pulling the express fish train, Henry was rebuilt to a new shape, and this cured his illness completely. Henry now pulls coaches and trucks equally well on the main line. In fact, he will give any engine a run for its money on any given day.
